Oil Buzzer Light
« on: May 19, 2011, 08:13:09 pm »
Hi,

I did a bit of work to the car today
Fitted g60 injectors and new chip and noticed that the wire underneath the boost return hose at the back of the head was on its last legs, (about to snap) didn't look connected as well
So replaced the wire and clip, soldered back up.

Now I drive the car and within 10 seconds of driving the light and buzzer goes off.

Do I expect the worst?

It has a oil leak and looses coolant.

Any advice and help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Rich

It's hard to be sure which wire you are talking about but it sounds like the oil pressure sender...I'd recheck your soldering job before you get too stressed.

the soldered job is fine, its the yellow cable there is a blue and a yellow one at the back of the engine, going to spade connectors?

Yellow on the left, blue on the right? Worth a check as this causes the problem you're having.
