Right I spoke to my supplier regarding these the tail end of last year  and the price had increased due to the manufacturing process.

The shafts are now made from an even stronger grade of steel , this in return has pushed the price up.

I've tried my best to haggle the price down however its the cheapest I can get.  Standard price for these are 250-300 each inc VAT

The new revised price is on the first page.
