Im at the stage now where im taking out my polo cl engine to replace it with my G40.

Ive seen a step by step walk through on here but i cant seem to find it, can any one point me in the right direction.

I know what im doing but i just dont want to miss something minor and risk damaging anything when i remove the old engine.

Cheers in advance

I know what im doing - really?

its like a big lego kit, rip it apart, stick everything back in.

when you unplug wires, label them up so you dont forget, but its all self explanatory

remove or unplug battery
remove wiring & ht leads
drop coolant
disconnect water pipes
disconnect exhaust manifold
disconnect driveshafts
disconnect gearlinkage
disconnect speedo drive
disconnect fuel lines
disconnect throttle cable
disconnect clutch cable (from box and from holder thats attached to the starter motor bracket)
remove (if fitted) holder which attached the cat pipe to the starter motor
loosen engine mounts
attach crane, whip off engine/gb mounts and pull out

not really much more than that

One thing to watch for is the exhaust is supported just behind the engine as well. Funny bracket thing iirc.
