BRV closing point

Just wondering at what point people recommend that BRV should be closing fully in relation to the throttle... at present when my foot reaches the floor the BRV is just closing, when held at this point there is around half to one centimeter further travel in the acc. wheel on the TB.

I'm basically wondering if it is a bad idea to adjust the BRV to close earlier and have the further travel to allow the acc cable to open the TB fully for full acceleration.

thoughts?

just adjust the little black clip on the rubber part of the accelerator cable so that when the pedal is to the floor the butterfly is fully shut.  Get someone in the car, pop the boost pipe off and with the car turned off get them to push the pedal to the floor.  The valve should be shut.  If it's not take up the slack with your fingers and reinsert the black clip further down on the rubber sleeve on the cable so it holds it shut at the point its at when shut and the pedal fully down.  As far as I remember that's how to do it.

reading your question again...I think you'd just find that you'd just be feeding slack cable when fully pressed in that case.  Youd just feel as if it was less responsive on your foot for that brief second your foot moves back until the tension is back on the cable to open the butterfly back up again.  I'd say you'd want it pretty much shut when pedal is to the floor and no more than that.

cheers dan 2nd post is what I was getting at - guess when you want it to go your foot goes down hard simple as that! will leave it as is!

Mine is already closed at about 50% throttle... I bought it like this, should it be like this?

I dont think it should mate... but if it runs fine and you are happy that the acc. wheel on your tb can still turn fully to entirely open the TB butterfly in the TB under full acceleration then its all good I guess...
