right basically put my splits on yesterday and it is on hnr 60/40 set up. The only problem is that the rear drivers side is sitting a cm lower than anywere else causing alot of rub and wheel wear already! is there any reason for this could it be the suspension? or jsut do g40s always sit that way i know its stupid but i thought maybe the petrol tank weight but surely that would have been accounted for in weight distribution?

any help would be great, cheers

most cars don't sit perfectly level on all four corners.  They aren't generally setup with perfect weight distribution.

Mine does the same. I'm going to wind the coilovers up a little bit to compensate. Not much else you can do really.

Contributry factors:

1) Additional weight on drivers side (Driver)
2) Weight on drivers side and not on passenger:

G-lader
Block/Head weight > gearbox weight
Alternator
Battery
Fuel tank/ fuel pumps

These are the main points, there's obviously several things that run down the passenger side that aren't on the drivers (e.g exhaust) but last time I had my GT on the corner weights it was 60kg differance side to side (no driver).

Bear in mind that's without a G-Lader/Intercooler hanging on the drivers side too, say that combination adds 15kg the total swing would be 75kg swing towards the driver's side, without the driver in.

Now say your average fatty is 75kg-85kg, you've generally got 150kg more on the driver's side than the passenger. Hence it sitting lower on this side.

When you start digging into the chassis dynamics and static measurements on a Polo, it's quite surprising how bent they are!

looks like i need a left hand drive one then - 150kg of lateral centre of gravity could make a quite large difference to handling.

In my case, left hand drive, there's human crap to compensate right lateral weight
