front brakes!!

Hello peeps,

im thinking of upgrading the brakes on the front of my G40, but i want to keep the standard 13" BBS wheels can any one recommend a good disc/Pad combo that will give a bit more bite over stock??? the previous owner has put some braided hoses on, but is there any thing else thats also worth doing that i could take out the VW OE bin to save on costs lol

any help i would be most gratful

I used to find standard Brembo discs from GSF and Ferodo DS2500 or DS2000 pads a good combination when I had the standard 239mm discs.

Replace the brake fluid with a good quality fluid (I use Motul RBF600, it's not particularly expensive and I've never managed to overheat it).  Service the rear drums replacing any worn parts, this needs doing regularly, if the rear brakes are poorly setup then it affects the fronts too.

cool thanks just phoned GSF 10.20+vat for brembos or grooved ones are 24.50+vat do you think it is worth going for the grooved ones?

phoned Demon tweek they wanted £66.80+ vat for the DS2800 does anyone know anywhere cheaper???

no I wouldn't bother with grooved discs, they're a waste of money.
