Headlining and beesting removal
« on: February 11, 2011, 09:29:59 pm »
This has come up on here but I can't find it :(

I'm down to the last few bits on the G40, one of which is the aerial. I've always dropped the headlining from the back, unhooking the first row of clips to get at the bottom of the aerial.

Someone on here mentioned you could get at it by reaching in from the side. I can't get my big fat hands in there without unclipping the headlining but I can't work out how to do it. Hence why it's sagging in this pic.

How do you get the headlining unclipped? Does anyone have any pictures of the clips?

The rods are unhooked by pulling them towards the front of the car, theres like a flap of trim which the rods go through to hold headlining up then the hook on the roof are poked through and wrapped around the bar, so hard to explain lol

Nice one :) I knew they popped off one way but couldn't remember which way! It's easier to see what you're doing when you come at it from the top of the tailgate.

(Excuse the late reply- still no 'net at home, checked this on Friday on my iPhone and then forgot to reply)
