running temperature

hi all im wording what temperature your g40's sit at when your on a open road doing 60mph?

Browse the engine section, coolant temp has come up a few times in recent months. I've only ever had the one polo, but apparently temp gauges and particularly the sender (black one in thermostat housing below dizzy) are notoriously variable.

In cold weather i used to run (before oil cooler installation) aprox between 78-82C and in summer, from 88-95C

Thanks all ....i have only had the car three month (so during winter) and when on main roads at 60 my temp has been between 70 - 75 I was thinking this is possibly far too cold ???

mines always this way, sensor is only 3 years old too - only seen 90 once or twice - not sur ewhy
