wipers?? help

my wipers suddenly stopped working the other day, they made it half way up the screen and died, now wont budge!
the fuse was blown so i changed it but everytime i try them with a new fuse it blows again
ive just changed the wiper motor and its exactly the same

someone help me please!

were you trying to use the wipers to clear snow off or did you turn them on when they were frozen up?  Sooooooo many people breaking their wipers at the moment by doing this!

Anyway, I suspect that if the motor is OK then a wire in the power supply to the motor will have over heated and burned through the insulation causing a short circuit.  Visual inspection of all the wiring from the motor back wards is the best bet.

there wasnt snow on the screen, i thought they had defrosted but obviously not!

i will go through the pain of checking all the wires - before i do that is there any chance it could be the relay??

could also be the stack on the steering wheel.

I think gray means the stalk. Ive had this before on my mk2 and a new stalk cured it.
