Good tip with the spoon.
The oil *stinks* of petrol and is visably thinner even when cold. Level has risen quite alot too so there must be quite a bit in there.

Cold idle is the worst for overfueling... <10:1, I presume most of the excess fuel is getting past the rings before the engine's had a chance to warm up and expand to closer tolerances. Interesting about the boost sealing the rings better. I really need to get my head into some books.

Aye when cruising at ~70mph (or just any steady mid-throttle speed) indicated AFR fluctuates between ~14.7 and 15.2 so like you say closed loop must be returning good mpg.

Fingers still crossed for decent roads for mapping over Xmas. Forge actuator turned up and will be fitted (with yellow spring) shortly. Got a green as well to fall back on in case it’s too firm. Getting itchy to drive it again.. boost is fun ;D

How is this running now Chris? Did the actuator do any good? did you sort fuel leaking into sump issue.

Not at all, the thread needs updating!

The Forge Actuator is worth every penny and without faffing about hooking up your own springs and nasty bleed valves, it's the only way to properly manage the boost short of an electronic controller.

Fuel into the sump was caused by massive overfueling which was resolved with the PPP remap.

Car is running well *touch wood* . Been converted for a year now and running 1bar of boost for the last 3months or so. Nice to drive :)

Hehe, cheers! yeah, it'll happily do 42mpg+ Mon-Thurs, on Friday, Sat and Sun the economy drops a little :)

Edit: I stopped being a cheapskate and run it on 97+ron fuel now btw!!
