a guy called Duncan in the UK has one on his.  Not sure he comes on here, he can usually be found a RWYB days at Santa Pod.  Not sure on his power but I think it is the right side of 200bhp.  The only problem as I understand it is that the chargers don't like the fast revving nature of the short stroke g40 engine so they need servicing more often and are more prone to failing.

Go for it mate... Rebuild the charger first of all
With 1272cc engine, you'll see 1bar (with stock charger pulley)
There are many parts off the shelf to use and its a very easy conversion...
But as Haysey says, you have to be more careful with the G60...

I have G60 charger in Polo. At the beginning I had modified bracket and pulleys from G40 (with longer belts) but charger was hitting the exhaust manifold (see photo below). Now I have a custom bracket with tooth pulleys. On 28 teeth (75 mm) charger pulley I have 1.4 bar of boost.

Modification is not difficult.

Old photo of my engine (now it has other bracket)

And here photo with modified G40 bracket:

Custom bracket...

Anyone not remember Richie K running his white one with G60 - fukin Mental!  1.6bar boost!  Such a laugh!  Ran 192bhp and 180lbft ish at Stealth RR day with my fairly stock G60 charger on it from my corrado after he nuked his own G60 charger at 7000rpm!  He did drive like an animal 99% of the time!

just to add - all bar the centre bearing and one of the casing bolts are the same charger rebuild parts for the g60.

yeah I remember Richie's G60, was indeed a mental car.  He went through a fair few g60 blowers on it too!  Not sure where the car is now but Rae off here owned it not long ago and PeteG4- had it just before him, it had been put back to almost standard except for the 80s style white bumpers, arch trims etc... although Pete got rid of those so it looked standard.  The engine had been replaced with a standard one too.

If i remember correctly...
Stock engine
Head flowed.
Shrick cam - 276deg think.
51mm TB.
GT inlet manifold
Boost return mod.
Sharan IC think it was or a cossie 2wd one.
Seepcat Jaguar GR3A ECS pipe for IC pipework...LOL.
Full blend PSD G60 charger with 65mm pulley.
PSD Toothed belts.
Redtop injectors.
PSD chip and slight adjustment made to map.
Custom exhaust.
Gemini Phase 2 LSD fully rebuilt with modified stronger gearbox internals and different 5th gear.

Thats about it I think, may have missed a few.  Im sure someone will still have his videos, sounds so meaty!

Defo over 200bhp and around 190-200lb/ft of torque with his proper full blend charger.

He had a problem on the RR day, like i said 192bhp with my stock G60 charger and toothed belt alignment issues.
