I know big end bolts are stretch bolts but my question is when do they stretch as 30 nm then 90degree angle tightening doesn't sound like an awful lot to me.
Reason being I've had a problem with my rods and caps not being matched up correctly ( evan though the numbers match up, the caps don't !) I've obviously used new bolts but now have had to undo them all. Will they need replacing I see there rated at 10.9 wich is quite high tensile bolt so just wondered ifthy stretch when tightened or when under load from engine ?
