You can get Lucas refurbed ones from eBay for not alot of dough. Last one cost me £20 plus delivery.
Otherwise GSF will do the same (but more expensive).

Cheers dude this is for me . When turning the key everything primes and I get no crank, makes the sound of a drained battery when it finally cranks when te batteries fine, solenoid I reckon. Cheers

I've got 2. 1 is slow to crank sometimes and the other clicks and doesnt turn sometimes but does on the next try. They both work however. I'm in Rotherham.

yeah thanks sam, for moving in on my sale, i did have 2 starter motors, but who did i give the other to, oh yes, it was sam lol


yeah starter works fine mate, no problems when it was on car, can courier it for £10 so call it £20 paypal posted, send stuff daily, or just drive over for it, im barnsley side of huddersfield anyway

Cheers for this dan mate, changed it today. In the rain was a hasstle, still hasnt solved the problem tho  :S . Its like it wont turn the gb over. Ive changed the housing over as it was the bashed one. Was running like a dream and is now crunching into gear after i hit my linkage on a speed bump. Surely the linkage wouldnt stop the starter motor?

you checked the earths? get a jump lead onto the earth point of it and to the battery, also get your battery checked!
