what do thease plugs do ?

what do thease 4 plugs do?? my temp guage has decided it wants to top working??

but i need to know what thease 4 plugs 2........... 2 on the thermostat and the 2 single pin connectors on the head

At the firts pic:
Black: Water temperature sensor (gauge sender)
Blue: Water temperature sensor (ECU signal)

The two ones at the 2nd pic are oil pressure switches
The right one (i think) is for the oil buzzer

that's the wrong black sensor, it should be a two pin one like the blue one (except black!)

it's definitely not the right type, I'd change it anyway.  What does the plug look like? Can't see how the standard one would fit.

Yeah... Hayesey is right... It should be a 2 pin... I mentioned that before, but i wasn't sure, if i was right...
Don't you see that you can not plug it into the wiring?

Don't you see that you can not plug it into the wiring?

thats odd the loom has that 4 pin plug on the end ?? ??? ??? wheres the bet place to get both them plugs from?

Is the car a conversion or genuine g40?
If a conversion, has it has other, later VAG engines in such as an AFH or 1.6L? That would be a possible reason for the adapted loom.

possible someone has cut the original connector off but it seems an odd thing to do. Is this engine in a 6n polo or something?
