Accelerator cables - where to buy?

Mines starting to fray so time to buy a new one.

Had a look on gsf and ecp but nothing. Are they a VW only part?

And audi ones as well! I think audi 50 is exactly the same! brant new they cost about 12€

Had a look round my local scrappy and got a real good one for £2

Some may frown that its not brand new but its in real good condition and looks to have been done shortly before the car was scrapped.

I'd go with that - if it looks in decent 'nick then all good.
Suppose when you look at the scrap car you could get an idea of how much the cable had stretched, and so what sort of condition it's in.

I may take a look at the cable on the other polo when i head back there to see if theres any more bits that i can salvage before they're cubed.
