Hi guys, tried removing the starter motor. Took the 2 13mm bolts out on the right hand side and disconnected the electrical connections. Is there anything else holding it? Or is it just tight?
Help needed asap.

Cheers

Etches

Should easily pull out dude, have another look see if you havnt left any bolts out

Jake

cant see any more but it is pretty damn tight under the inlet manifold!!

there's 3 bolts holding it in.  The one you've missed is probably the really long one, 13mm head on it like the other two.

if it has the clutch cable thing on it - its held to the gearbox by a 19mm headed bolt,  - and sometimes you have to remove the cv boot cover to get at it (2x 13mm headed ones).

However there are 3 bolts actually holding the starter on

sorted, missed the long one! took about 15mins of wiggling about to get it off but its done. that bracket that has the bit holding the clutch cable on it, that was the only bit stopping it comin off! at least its off, just not looking forward to trying to get it back in!

Thanks a lot for your help

i removed mine a couple of nights ago, 15min job, its knowing where the bolts are located. Easy to miss one out.

Jake

yeah the long one was easy to miss. the head of the bolt is so far over the gearbox you wouldn't think it would have anything to do with it!
