i accept your apology and welcome you under the G40 forum wing, just don't post bollox lol

hayesey

good to hear.  :)  If you can't afford to insure a g40 then you can't afford a g40, save up a bit more.  We all start somewhere, I'm sure very few people have owned a g40 as their first polo

Welcome to the club, wealth of info here on G40 and also N/A polo's (we all started somewhere).  great looking mk1, very jealous

Good call on your decision to register it properly.

Why do people build these type of conversions spend £1000s doing it building engines etc but never re-register it with its new engine when the cost of the insurance increase would be insignificant as to what they've spent on modding it anyway?

That mk1 looks lovely, not sure on the red wheel centres but other than that it's a beauty.
However, if you buy that particular mk1 be careful when it comes to insuring it. With all mods declared (it's no good just saying it's a 1.3) you may find it very expensive to insure particularly if you are young.
Good luck,
Richard.

i wanted a g40 as my first car and was 100% sure i was going to get (even by being a spoilt brat about it) one, my dad bought me a 1.3 mk4 polo, it was slow, crap, and i hated the look of it, 2 years down the line when i got my g40 i appreciated  it way more than i would have if i was to get bought a g40 as my first car, good things come to those who wait..........gay..but true comment, thats all i kept saying whilst i had the mk4. now i fully appreciate the g40 for the amazing machine it is rather than for the speed when i was 17.
i sound like an old man lol, and i used to hate having pepole say to me " insurance will be too much".     but im only 20 now so im still young and i still get my parents giving grief over the e46 m3 i want  ;)
the day you get your g40 will be like shagging that girl youve allways wanted!  ;D ..........youll get your most out of it, treat it nice so it dont leave you, and appreciate it, and keep it sweet!
