toothed pulleys, stiped belt??

why would a belt loose about 12 teeth? and wear out the pulleys quite bad??? after not alot of miles.

belts do go - they pick up stones etc.

What toothy kit are you using?

its out of alignment.

one side of your tooth will be razor sharp, caused by the full force of the teeth hitting a single point. This then chews teeth. And the vicious cycle continues

can happen if you are using a belt with the wrong tooth profile too, do you know what belt you are using?

this is bang on, its exactly what happened to me, went through 2 belts in a matter of months, changed to a steel pulley kit and found one of my old pulleys was spaced out alot more than the others and the alloy was worn more on one side.
