Fitting my new exhaust system this weekend and it will be a de-cat system, will it be ok to buy the lambda that says fitment G40 (catalyst), from gsf?
Once its fitted i will have to run it on the old lambda till i get a new one as im not paying £127 from vw when gsf do same one for 1/3 of the price.

Alexiskayak_7

What brand is it? Bosch?

Jezza-7

Yeah it Bosch from GSF.

Alexiskayak_7

I bought a Bosch one and it's super fine... Buy it... There is no need to pay silly money for the genuine vag part, it's the same...

Jezza-7

Just checked and its not a bosch one, made by some other company, euro car parts sell them so will try them now. Thanks for your help.

Alexiskayak_7

If you want, i can write the Bosch part number so you can search in another place...

Jezza-7

I have got the number already, if its the same: 030 906 265J

Where else is good to order from?

Alexiskayak_7

Yeap.. I have the same part numbers...
Sorry Jez, i'm not from UK... Somebody else must tell you where to supply that part...

Ring your local bosch dealer/ agent. If you get stuck try these guys, £57 springs to mind, I did buy one about 4 years ago mind. http://www.truckstophawkes.co.uk/ I'm not sure if they do mail order, if not gimme a shout and I'll get it for you and post it to you 8)

errr... its the Worcester one you want, Not sure about the Redditch branch. I'm too tired to see if they do mail order, lol

My local GSF will get a Bosch one in you ask them for it. They dont keep them in though. They supplied with a non bosch one for my Corrado and I had it on less than a year when it failed. They refunded me and ordered me a Bosch one in.
