Small guide to fit GT inlet manifold?

Would be appriciated, Do i need a new gasket?

Its best to replace the gasket. Its probably something that wont get done alot and there not expensive from VW.

battery disconnect.
Remove boost pipe, and TB.

Unclip wiring connectors for knock, lambda and err other one or remove bracket totally.

May have a strut on the back of the G40 manifold, remove this from under the car.  loosen and remove the ISV pipes underneath and vacuum pipes.

Remove the inlet manifold bolts and stud nuts, withdraw manifold (may need to remove the oil pressure banjos on head if in way, (i forget if there are in way)).

Fitting is reverse of removal.

If your changing the inlet gasket your best off changing the throttle body gasket too. Thats the one thats always pretty manky in my experience.

You should always change gaskets, especially Metal ones, they're the source of many air leaks, air leaks = wrong information being fed to the engine and all sorts of problems such as hesitation, lumpy idle, etc. and for the sake of a few £ you don't have any excuse really

Don't use gasket paste on it, that can get sucked in if not set properly and cause a lot of grief.

SO .. finally come to fit the manifold, after fixing other problems, What gaskets do i need to buy.

Throttle body gasket and
inlet manifold gasket

Would anyone be so kind to have part numbers

you might want to think about swapping over the fuel rail and injectors as well 

When re-seating the injectors in the new manifold lubricate the rubber 'o' sealing ring with a touch of oil. It will stop them from splitting!
