« on: February 26, 2010, 04:47:18 pm »
Hi i have just purchased my G
Just wondering what you guys find the best to run your car on.
Seeing as petrol prices are stupid atm, would if be better to buy the stuff you add.
Or just buy the super fuel.

Also

Which one has most octane

Shell V-Power?

Thanks

Rich

Shell and Tesco do 99 octane, most 'premium' at texeco, esso etc will be 97, fairly sure BP ultimate is 98 but might be wrong on that.

I use Shell or Tesco 99 every time, but then I did get it custom mapped on this fuel and I guess I'm just a bit anal about it!

Ultimate is 99 along with tescos and shell.

It's not- Ultimate is 97 RON.

Tesco is only 99RON if it's super fresh, the 5% ethanol content means the fuel goes 'off' quicker.

Shell V-Power is the tits  ;D

I tend to run mine on BP Ulltimate because the garage nearest to me that does decent super is that.  It used to be a Shell when they did Optimax and I used to always use that.
