Howdo.

To install a eaton (M45) into a G40 you will need........

Modified charger bracket
toothed belt kit (stops belt slippage at high rpm)
charger air inlet (I've got a piece of silicone pipe shaped to fit)
bigger fuel injectors
bigger intercooler
pipework to connect intercooler to throttlebody
new ECU chip

if you take a loom at my thread in the gallery, there's afew more pics there.

Hope that helps.

Jon

Hi Jon,

tks for letting me know what nd how to do. I saw the charger but I didn't saw this charger bracket well. can you (or somebody else) give me dimensions of that bracket ?

I hv
toothed belt kit
charger air inlet
bigger injectors
bigger FMIC
pipework - not problem
nd stanalone management

so only think what I don't hv is that modified bracket cos I don't know how to measure it (don't hv oportunity)

Second thing - why you take off this return pipe line? does this mean when you are not driving full throttle some of boost is just going out in the air ??

I should have a picture of the bracket on my pc I can post up for you.

As for the boost return pipe (if that's what you mean?), the eaton doesn't have a return like the G-lader so as you thought, any extra boost is released from the throttlebody to atmosphere. Quite alot of air actually!

What management are you going to use?

If you hv a pic it would be perfect to see it

I hv Vi-pec V44. tought to put Uni-chip or something similar but than friend of mine told he'll give me brand new management for low cost so I take that thing nd place it inside the car so I can make configuration with laptop fm inside.

but would it be better if somehow boost return pipe could connect back to charger? let say on inlet of charger or just put "Y" pipe before IC? so there won't be spool time nd I think acceleration would be even better ? only my opinion...correct me if I'm wrong

I aslo noticed you changed cam.... why ? Stock G40 cam isn't so good ? what are the specification of this "Eaton Cam" ? (Shrick hv 252/276 for G but don't know which I hv to put if place Eaton inside)

i have a standard head on mine at the moment. im not sure what spc my cam is. it originally came from PSD who have ceased trading :( there is a camshaft for the eaton 1272cc made by PSD but theyre not that easy to find. The bracket is just a modified PY bracket. you'd need to put your charger upto the bracket to see where the mountings need to be changed.

Just out of interest jon, how have you tensioned the belt, as there would be no adjustment in the charger bracket?
