My G is running to rich at 2500rpm...
I replaced the lamda sesnor, blue temp sensor and still is running too rich..
I have to mention that i took off the inlet manifold so i replace with ease the rack & pinion that i had problems with, so i cleaned and polised the throttle body. I replaced the manifold gasket and i refited everything...
when i disconect the blue temp plug co comes to normal...
What else to check?

Alexiskayak_7

Rae i replaced the blue temp...
Does anyone had any problems with map sensor? Really, i can't find any other problem...

dannyb.G40

apparently even new OEM ones have been known to be dodgy, worth testing the resistance to defo rule it out

Alexiskayak_7

The weird thing is that i replaced the blue sensor 2 years ago... and i have done only 20.000km... :-\

Whats the CO-pot set to?

Alexiskayak_7

To be absolutely honest i use gas analyzer to set the co pot, but ill check with an multimeter...

Alexiskayak_7

no mate you're not wrong, co pot effect on idle...
I have chopped accidentaly the vaccum hose check valve (the pipe that goes to the map sensor), so put a T piece in the fuel pressure regulator vaccum line and i connected the map sensor vaccum line... Is there a possibility the map sensor has a wrong read? Sorry for my English, i'm trying to explain as much as i can...

hayesey

tapping into the map sensor boost pipe isn't a good idea as it can interfere with the signal to the map sensor, I'd sort that out first just to rule it out.

Alexiskayak_7

i shorted the problem out...
Does anyone had any problems with the throttle pot?

Alexiskayak_7

I can't understand what is going on with my g...
At idle until 2500 rpm it's working stoich lamda=1 BUT from 2400rpm till 2800rpm it's running very rich lamda=0,85...!
At 3000rpm and over the car it's working again stoich lamda=1.....
I think that the problem is the fuel pressure regulator?
Any other ideas?

Alexiskayak_7

Does anybody had any problem with the fuel pressure regulator?

Alexiskayak_7

How do i check it mate?

Alexiskayak_7

Rae i checked the fuel pressure regulator and it's ok, i cleaned the injectors and i tested....
When i first sticked the gas anylise rpipe (at 2500rpm exactly) i got CO= 0,09Vol  HC=49ppm and l=1,008-perfect i said and i smiled, i droped it to idle again and i got  CO=0,00vol HC=16ppm and l=1,023, i smiled  again....
I kept the revs at 2500rpm again and i my eyes got out.... CO=1,16 HC=125ppm and l=0,921 and the afr was getting richer and richer while the seconds was passing...
Excuse me for the big post but i can't find what the hell might be the problem...
