Hello,

I'm Sebastian from Germany and this is my Oeko-Polo. 52 cars have been built by VW / IAV for r&d purpose. The engine is a 2-Cyl. watercooled D.i.-Diesel with a G40 supercharger (with automatically activated magnetic clutch). Max. performance is 40 HP with Vmax up to 139 km/h

Hello again,

yes, the car just ran 2 years on street while the praxis test and was then left in a garage.

In optimal case those cars need 1.7 - 1.9 Liter/100km at 60 km/h (highway). With average driving it needs 3,3 to max. 5 Liter/100km.

If my maths is correct...
1.8L/100km is 157mpg
3.3L/100km is 85.6mpg
5L/100km is 56.5mpg !!

Not bad at all, especially compared to a BlueMotion (though they have a little more than 40bhp!).
