Hey guys.
my car is in the garage for a little rest (that's what I'm hoping anyway... :-\)

I found a hole in one of the 3 (!) hoses that goes from the G-lader.
I've attached a pic below (if it works)

It's the hose with the gray duc tape on it.

What is it for first of ? Remember reading something about the G-lader being oiled with engine oil - is it via this...

QUESTION - is it unusual to have this hose seperate ??? I ask because the parts guy I talked to showed me a picture with only 2 hoses see below...

where one goes in two directions...

How does this system work - I would really like to know (by you, or links) please.

Shailan

The hose is the return feed of air back to the charger. When the throttle closes the un needed air re-circs back to the charger.
A lot of ppl on the forum remove this, however you will need to blank off the feed to the charger.

You can also fit 2 inductions however you will need another charger sleeve.

I am sure you will find ppl on the forum willing to sell their pipes where they are not using them.

Nick_S

You have a 1992 type supercharger fitted to your mk2 polo G40. The original mk2 supercharger on yours with the 'Y' pipe must have been removed by a previous owner to you.

I have a spare section of pipe that you need :)

 :) Super info!

I took the info to the VW dealership and the guy found it - ordered it home for me. Should be around £43 GBP (I'm guessing our massive Danish  taxes are included)

Gratefull for the offer Nick_S  :)

I'll keep you guys posted.
whether I'm right or wrong about that price :)
