Wheeler Dealer...discovery turbo
« on: November 28, 2009, 12:22:38 am »
I love it!  Some cack jobs done in the early episodes but the most recent ones have been cracking!  Ed's a bit of a gimp but I've warmed to him and Mike Brewer cracks me up with his, 'Your havin a turkish aren't ya!' comments.  Anyone else watch it and love it?

certainly is.  A better show than this is 'Le Salvager' on discovery shed.

ed china is ok but mike brewer makes me want to throw bricks at the tv.  The worst one I remember was a mk4 capri, filler and rattle can spray job a-plenty, the end result was terrible.

In one episode he swapped a set of RSs (I think) for some Teledials.

And on the Mk1 Campaign I was told he put the stripe on upside down  ::)

Pair of numpties.

Anyone see the one with the Suzuki JLX (I think) where he bought a proper lemon, spent loads, sent it for an MOT and it was deemed unroadworthy due to rot. Had to sell it to a farmer to mess about in fields with it. Proper pooch screw. The legendary Ed had welded a roll cage to the chassis and not even noticed the rot......chump.

ha i havent seen that one Alex! I think its an alright show.  I mean they dont always do a fantastic job but its entertaining to watch, better than most the shit thats on there.  I like overhaulin to but they spend too much time telling us about the 'prank' and i'd rather see the car being built.

When I had Discovery Turbo (not got it now), Overhaulin, American Chopper and Wrecks to Riches USA were all I watched!
