well you can try setting it to more like 600-650ohms but the only way to really set it is on a gas analyser yeah.

Sorry if this is a stupid question,

But how do i go about setting it closer to 600-650?

it's covered in the faq engine checkup thread.  You need a multimeter and read the resistance across the outer two pins on the sensor

Yeah i've done that, but its reading 500Ohms...So how would i go about making it read 600ohms?
