Doubt its the spline tbh, but you could always swap for one from a low milage box if you do the bushes. The bottom bush looks the easier of the two to get out. I wouldn't even bother with the top one, looks a pig of a job that one not being a brass type bush. You could try screwing something into them then use a puller. Bottom one might work by crushing with chisel and pliers on it to get out.
