Hi all I've had enough of my Classic Polo I cant make it run as it did
The body work on it is very very good and the interior is imaculate. It has a few rust marks on the roof above the drivers side the chrome has worn off the badges. Its even got the VW hub caps although these are a bit rough. Everything on the car is fine and well except for the engine.
It has 90k on it its ona K plate, engine problems are as follows:
Ran a bit rough then had loads of steam coming out of the exshaust, I replaced the head gasket, timing belt, the blue hall sender unit, fresh spark plugs, ignition sensor and HT leads. And I still cant get it to tick over smoothly it constantly hunts. This car would probably make an exellent shell for a beloved G40 or a GT. I dont know enough about the cars to say that one of them engines would drop straight in but I imagine its possible. The car is open to offers, it has 11months MOT and 5 months tax drove lovely before so called whoopsy with engine. It is in far to nicer condition to scrap so someone grab a cheap classic!
