Looking for an extra 20mm ( dia. that is, length's ok)

Looking for a BIGGER steering wheel and wonder what else from the VW range would fit the G.
If memory serves me right the Mk2 Golfs had a 370mm wheel and the GTI looks ok, but is the spline size ok? Anyone any idea?

I've seen a T4 Transporter van with a mk2 Coupe S wheel in it so perhaps they are inter-changable?  :)

Thanks Paul, that sounds encouraging. I've got it in my head that VW changed spline sizes somewhere in the early 90's. A trip to the local scrappies to make sure would probably be best bet.

they did change, I think it was late 80s, during mk2 production.

I've seen people fit wheels from audis to g40s too so might be worth looking at.

You're right, i've been poking about and the earlier Golfs  had a smaller spline which was changed with the Mk2 intro. The Audi suggestion I like; something a bit comfier in my old age.lol.
