FEELER - G40 eaton 1341
« on: August 24, 2009, 08:05:21 pm »
Only a feeler at the mo as ive had enough of it and it seems to be full of niggles.

Not currently working and losing the interest in it.

Spec is..........

1341 bottom end with accralite pistons
PSD Eaton kit
PSD toothed belt kit
300cc injectors
AW tracksport intercooler
PSD 4branch manifold into 63mm system with upswept letterbox backbox
250kpa map sensor
custom made boost piping
shiny shiny throttlebody.

Standard suspension with G60 steels (195/45/15 tyres - 2 low, 2 good)

Fibreglass magnum motorsport bucket seats with harnesses
stripped interior
rear strutbrace
boost & AFR gauges
momo steering wheel
omp gearknob

pressed plates
late spec clusters with euro cluster (no reverse light)
badgeless grille with G40 badge

Thats just a general sweep of things. Unless a miracle occurs, it will be sold.

Will probably need a complete rebuild as i cant 100% say whats wrong with it (or right!)
If i do sell, i WILL NOT strip it for parts. too much of an arse ache!

Roughly looking for £2500

Please PM me for more info etc.

Does it run? Or would it have to be trailored?

Hoping its a sparking issue. Engine turns just wont completely fire. Tries to fire occasionally but doesnt lead anywhere. changed the coil, pump primes so im looking at the hall sender/dizzy assembly next.

I'm starting to get pissed off with it! Steve (yeti) is currently on roué from Derby to have a look for me :-)

Hopefully he should be able to help figure out why it's got PMT!

Both wrong ( i think? lol)

extremely weak spark. Its back up and running again now. Within 2 minds if to sell or not. All depends of the outcome on friday if i can afford to keep it or not.

Well the other half didnt get made redundant (thank fook!) so i dont have to find lots of money now to keep us afloat.

I've just splashed out £100 on new ATE disks and pads, rear shoes and cylinders so it looks as though i'll be keeping it, even if it does sit on the same spot for another couple of months.

Time to get the haynes manual out to see how to renew the front brakes. If i end up in hospital, you know i did it wrong! haha
