Hello
I am a Jap car importer and mainly import EK9 Honda Civic Type R's (97-00).
I love my Jap cars but really miss my old G40 that i sold about 12 years ago. I have been hankering over getting another one to replace the void. I just hope they are as good as i remember them to be.
I will keep an eye out on here for one but everyone seems to mod them and i would ideally want a standard one.

One more quick question, What colours were they available in when new :- Red, White, Green......?

Great forum by the way  ;)

Seems to be a common for old G40 owners to miss the G smiles, so you have come to the best place to get hold of another.

There are not that many left in original condition these days, but there is definately a trend now for people retro fitting G40's back to how they once were. I had a 38k miles G40 until late last year, but sold it on because i didn't use it often enough and felt guilty to keep it modified.

G40's came in the following colours from factory:

Tornado Red, Alpine White, Black, Royal Blue metallic, Capri Green metallic, Grey metallic, Windsor blue metallic and Montana Green metallic.

Might be worthwhile having a look at this thread to see if your old G40 has been in other enthusiasts hands!

Hi
Thanks for the reply.  My old one was red but i am thinking black if poss to find one then also find one in the condition i want. May consider red or grey, or blue if a nice shade.
If you dont mind me asking how much did you sell your 38k one for?
I dont think I will find my old g40 as the guy that had it after me got stoned, had some beers then took his two mates home. But in a 30 clipped a curb at 70 - 80mph, rolled it 6 times, hit a wall and it then burst into flames. He was ok but he killed his mates. :o

welcome to the forum!  It's amazing how many people who own g40s and then sell them end up coming back looking for another one sooner or later!

There are some people who like to keep them standard or not far from standard anyway.  I'd imagine if it's 12 years ago when you owned one then they'll mostly feel a lot older than back then.

Good luck in finding one though.
