Autoglym bumper care is pretty good, but getting your bumper clean prior to application is essential for all products!

well i have to say the nasty pound shop stuff isnt bad at all, spray on, wipe down...

but spaniels idea is the best...

basically take the bumpers off and melt them with the heat gun.  be careful not to touch the platic when its heated as youll leave your finger prints in it.  your basically reviving the polymers in the plastic by reheating them .  you need to get a good balance and dont stay on one section too long.  do bit at a time and re-do the whole lot a few times!  i did mine about 3 weeks ago?  and they still look great...considering back to lack lasts about a week am happy!

Got to say I'm impressed with that, and can't believe I've never heared of anyone doing it before!!  Another long winded method I tried was scrubbing all the black work with a stiff/fine/short bristled nylon brush, it lifted off all the dry oxidized surface residues and restored the natural original finish. It lasted out the summer too, didn't mention it earlier as someone may have suggested I was nuts, wel I am so guess it don't matter

It is expensive, but given that you only need use a tiny baked bean size dab for each wheel I think it's pretty good value.  Autoglym for the bumpers and trim, yet to find anything better...really dislike having to blacken the bumpers all the time.  Half coded is a plan for future.

The best stuff in my opinion is Auto Glym Bumper Care its not spray its like a gell! worked on my mk3 bumpers where nothing else has worked!



also very fast to apply and great if you going to a show or any thing!

I used to swear by that, until I found Meguiars stuff. Auto Glym is good, but Meguiars is just a little bit better and a lot less messy.
