Removing carpet help

How do you remove the black clip from behind the gas pedal? It's slid onto a thin bar and I can't get the carpet out with it on?!

It's got a dimple inside that sits inside a hole on the metal bar, you need use a thin screwdriver between the bar and the clip to lift it out of the hole so that you can slide the clip off.  It's been a few years since I took the carpet out of mine so I can't say for sure if the dimples on the top or the bottom.

'Gas Pedal'

next we'll be discussing and fenders and hood's!!

 ;D

Sorry Sunday morning humour! It's raining and the GP coverage don't start for at least another 15 minutes.

If you can't prise it off try un-screwing it, the metal pin into the floor is to provide space for the underlay to sit between the carpet and the floor hence allowing the plastic retaining clip to sit in a slightly elavated position. Its normally just pushed on to a ribbed(for your pleasure) pin that vaguely acts as a self tapper from the floor/bulkhead panel.

Anyway back to then tail lights and license plate's ::) ::)
