will lupo gearbox work on g40

i have been told that the 1.4 lupo gearbox will fit and work on a g40,
can anyone tell me for sure if this is fact?

i know i would have to go hydrolic clutch but would be nice to have longer gears!!!

Longer hears than a standard G40 gearbox ? Are you sure you have the correct gearbox ?

If y. put gearbox fm Lupo 1.4 y'll hv very short gears (much shorter than G40 ATV gearbox). I hv this problem. Placed on my G40 same gearbox but fm Seat Arosa 1.4 (the same gb. as on Lupo) nd I'm changing gears like crazy. This gb. on G40 is good for hill racing but nothing else. in 5th gear on 3000 rpm y'll run 85 km/h.

if  y want short gears y. can put this gerbox but must replace 5th gear with muich longer ratio nd that it will be ok.

im after the longest gearing i can find!
i found i was changing gears like made in my old g40, and before i get another i want to get hold of a longer geared box if possible

you mean longer than standard gears?  You'd probably have to put your own box together using gear sets from different 085 boxes.  E.G. 5th gear from an 8P box in a g40 box will give a longer 5th gear.  To be honest though you'll just make the car feel sluggish.  Isn't 153mph top speed enough?

my old g sat at 80 would be doing 3.5 to 4 rpm does that sound right???
perhaps i had a lesser box than the standard atv

Choosing and fitting longer gears will make very little difference to the overall gearing. It's the diff ratio and rolling radius of the tyre that alters the way the car drives.
ATV is the proper G40 box. Ratios are pretty good for a standard box, though like most road cars 1st and 2nd are a bit short.

It is possible to put GTI box on G40 but problem is GTI bearbox hv hidraulic clutch so je need adaper on firewall taht y. can place cilinder with oil
