Fibreglass panels.

I sure someone was pedalling these? Can't seem to find the add though. Anyone using them? particularly the front wings?

As far as I know there were never any Mk3 parts except a few bonnets. Talk of making wings but as with most GBs not much ever happens.

Usual story. Ye mate I want one . Come to payment time and its next week, end of the month etc....

Could probably track them down from Germany but the exchange rate just doesn't make it worth it anymore. Not checked the exchange rate recently but it has improved slightly but not by a great deal. In the region of 0.90

well it's kind of like Giorgio says really, a few people have spoken about doing group buys and what not but nothing has ever really happened.  Yoof used to be able to get them from Germany, although it was mainly mk1 and 2 panels but I think his supplier has disappeared now anyway.

There are plenty of fibreglass companies in the UK who could make panels (google search it) but it's not economically viable unless you can get about 10 people all wanting the same things.

Is richard tweedle still not doing them?  I got my fibreglass bonnet off him for £150.  He offered me doors, front wings and tailgate options too back then.  Dogwood (Nick Wilson) has full fibreglass (or poss carbon now) berg cup wings (i.e. not just arches) but dont know where he got them from.

I think all-smiles shut up shop getting on for two years ago now?  Perhaps Richard still does stuff for people who know how to contact him though, I don't know (nor do I know how to contact him before anyone asks).

Its Nick Wilson's.

At moment not yet finished, he's currently spending time putting the panels on properly... takes time when some (doors i believe) aren't the best fit.  He's a perfectionist.  Also may be going back to a 1400 16v rather than the 1600 16v he has at mo as 1400 may be better for class he'll be competing in.  It'll still make 200bhp though, narrower power band but more suitable to ratios.

Eagerly awaiting progress report on this on clubgti at mo.  http://www.clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?t=157429

Even with 5 people, i bet carbon parts are uber expensive.
