Guys,

What sort of price do you think an ex demo/one owner white G40 on L plate is worth.
It was originally a show car for 'London 'sunroof company' way back when (1992) and has got electric glass roof, central locking, elctric windows etc.

Full VWSH till 3 years ago, since when its been in storage (SORNED)

Body/paint totally original, (minor rust on drivers door & knackered black number plate trim).

Engine original 85,000 miles, jabba stage 4 rebuild at about 50k (I think)
Bills for everything since day 1

Any ideas of a value for a car of this nature

PeteG40

i'd say £2500 ish sounds very good

I think a bit more.
over 3-3.5k

DKnight

na never 3-3.5k

£2500 is a reasonable price

depends what someone wants to pay, plus will a full electric roof not be more unwanted weight?

I'd say it depends on how many there is for sale at the time, if there isnt any about for sale then I reckon its worth closer to 3k but you are pushing it a bit with 3.5k for a near standard g.

it would have to be quite special to bring in £3.5k

Cheers Guys,

I'm going to dust it down and get it out of the garage over the weekend.
Possibly take some pictures to put up on here.
Need to sort out an MOT & get it back on the road, then make a big decision if i should keep or sell.

15 years of ownership, will make that decision all the more difficult.

Car has now passed its MOT & has 6 months tax - it should be available 'for sale' by the weekend. Once i have taken some pictures

In this current climate I think between £1750-£2250 depending on it's actual condition. You'll only get enthusiasts buying them now, considering you can get a £45k Audi S4 for a snip under £5k you'd be mad to spend £3k on an old shopping trolley!

Hopefully their value will come back up soon, GTs seem to still fetch £1k for a decent one, which I don't understand at all...

Keep it  :)
