i have forgotten where the oil feeds come off the glader go to on the engine, there is an oil feed on the side and an oil feed on the bottom. where do they go on the engine?

đuro

this one fm the side goes on motor head nd on the bottom go on the botom of motor block

djtez

there is an oil feed on the front of the block below the oil filter
and another at the back of the cylinder head roughly inline with the vw badge on the rocker cover?

g40chris

do both these oil lines have the same banjos on them, as im going to make new ones up in my old workplace later. ptfe lined with banjo ends. i only have theupper oil line present at moment

im sure that i have blocked the hole near the head with a bolt but i cant remember which bolt it was

djtez

both these lines have banjo ends on them at both sides.

g40chris

is the hole on the head the same hole which the dipstick is bolted to

g40chris

is the bottom hose the same diameter as the one for the head and is it the same type of hose as vw have quoted me that the bottom hose comes in 2 parts and needs to be made up and cut by. cant this just be in one piece as its a return

i need to know the diameter of the lower pipe as i can get it made up for free if its ok for 1 piece

samg40

Its two piece because its a metal pipe going to a flexi end. I know the oil drain banjo is larger than the feed. I think the head end of the feed is bigger than the charger side too but dont quote me on that.

g40chris

yes thats correct about the feed. just ordered a new feed from vw £19, dont want 2nd hand as sometimes they are full f shit inside

the drain is troubling me with the diameter of the pipe. do i have to have the metal part or can it be in flexi all the way. is there any reason for the metal pipe

g40chris

made a new drain pipe today

where does this small oil feed go on the head, still struggling to find where it goes

Dan

Where the oil pressure sensor on the left in the pic is (blue wire connected to it) there should be an adaptor with a piece splitting allowing for a banjo bolt

GAF2

sorry to hijack but what is the sensor to the right of the oil pressure sensor with the yellow wire because i dont seem to have it just the wires connected straight through?

cheers grant.

g40chris

cheers but i cant seem to find where it needs to go

a few closer pics but i cant find the adaptor and the splitting piece

hayesey

that's because it's not there, you'll need to buy one.  Any t-piece will do really.

You can see the parts involved at the top left of this pic of my g-lader oil pipes that I sold a while ago:

g40chris

knew i couldnt see it hahaha

are these cheap/expensive and where exactly does this screw into, does it go into the same hole that the blue oil pressure sensor goes into
