Can somebody tell me what is the difference btw. inlet manifold fm G40 nd GT ? which one is better for tuning ?

hayesey

the GT one has larger bores in the runners so is better for tuning.

Ä‘uro

but GT manifold can be fitted on PY head ? nd how many mm is wider than g40 manifold?

hayesey

yes it fits right on, loads of people (myself included) use them on their g40s.

From the outside it looks the same, it's just the bores that are bigger.  I have no idea how many mm bigger they are.  But they make a good difference at the higher end of RPM.

Does a chip needed to match the extra air?
What about fuel consuption? Do you have more?

hayesey

you don't HAVE to have a new chip, the existing one will compensate for any extra air flow but as with anything you'll get more benefit (i.e. power) if you get a custom remap done.

It's not going to noticeably effect fuel consumption no.

Ä‘uro

does anybody hs it for sale?

Does anybody happen to have the part codes for both inlet manifolds?

As I'd like to check if mine is running one or not.

Also is it JUST the GT or can it be from any Carb'd model?

Sorted it:

If the inlet manifold ends in a D it is a G40 manifold and B is a GT one.

Im about to embark on fitting a GT inlet to my G40, so whilst they were both off I took some back to back pictures for future reference for users on here.

LEFT - GT
RIGHT - G40

From the outside the GT inlet tubes look wider and when you look down you can see one is clearly wider inside than the other.
