Forged rods
« on: January 09, 2019, 09:51:09 am »
Hi Guys,
So I’ve spun a shell on one of my PEC rods. So I’m in need of a new one or a new set. I’ve spoke to PEC and they don’t make them anymore as they were not popular enough to continue making. Does anyone know any other company’s that make forged rods for our engines?
Cheers

I've got Arias going into mine. I first learn't about Arias back in the 80's when the where supplying rods to Top Fuelers.....

Bought mine from this ebay vendor

https://www.ebay.de/itm/ARIAS-Stahlpleuel-H-Schaft-122-20mm-ARP-2000-VW-Polo-8V-G40-1-3l-NZ-Sauger/163472405674?hash=item260fb6f4aa:g:FtUAAOSwHnFV31ar:rk:1:pf:0

They have most dimensions similar to old Toyota 1,6L 16v engines....

I have used MDR many times for G-lader spares and tuning parts, before I started buying from Bartek

I'm using the ones from maxrpm (ta technix I think), everything I looked at seemed to be made from the same material just different fasteners.
