THE LIST
« on: March 02, 2008, 11:33:26 pm »
I've spoken with DK about this a while back and I have seen this on many other sites where the cars have a limited number available for the model like RS200 etc.

Think it would be good to get a list of how many original G40's are left, don't know how good this will work but worth a try maybe an idea to have a page on the site.

yeah this will get added to the site at some point: a searchable list and a form to submit new cars on.  Like Dan says, it needs some thought so it doesn't become a useful tool for people who want to clone cars!  So far I'm thinking it'll have:

- Reg number
- registration date
- colour
- any interesting features
- current status (sorn, scrapped/broken, on road etc...)

Would like to be able to have "engines" on it too if people know the details of the car their engine came out of when doing a conversion.

i like this idea, i reckon theres probably quite a few that people own day-to-day that the owner has nowt to do with forums and stuff.  its weird cos everyone presumes if you have a g40 your in a club, but like mine, a wife with two kids had mine she never went on pitstopdevelopments forum lol

Yeah top idea just need to be careful how we do it. Threads like this scare the shit out of me. I know our cars arent worth anything like that sort of coin but still, they arent exactly hard to break into are they! Ahhhhhhhh

Well I have 2 G40's on my drive both Graphite Grey, mine and my fathers(though he's due to have his back now that mine is back on the road again). It's a modded K plate for me and Dad's is an all original  J with factory sunroof, and central locking thats currently not working!
