G40 exhaust.

Hi there. I have a mk1 caddy with g40 engine. I want to make a stainless steel exhaust system up and wanted to know about silencers and types of silencers to buy. Also what diameter tube suites it best. It's got a 4-2-1 manifold and flex connector on. But haven't made anything back from that yet.
Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Stuart,

Exhaust pipe diameter is dependent on the engines expected output. Whether it's a standard or highly tuned the motor will make a difference to the overall pipe diameter. I run 2.25" on a high tuned engine. With the turbo lot going for 2.5".

I run a small central silence and backbox.
