I bought mine from a guy in essex & took over the irish sea but if anyone here has owned before or know any details on it, be much appreciated. It was a J reg with the last 3 letters being 'LKO'.
By the way, would you think i'd have much luck contacting the DVLA from over here in ireland, or would they just laugh at me??

I knew the guy i sold my old GT too

only to find out that now he's binned it into a kurb and split the chassis leg 

i bought my GTi of a old friend. I knew the car had bin looked after and anything that needed doing to it was done..

was one of the contributing factors to why i bought it, i knew about its last 3 years - what mileage it was doing, and where abouts..mostly motorways.

i bought my engine from paul B who used to have it in his red saloon, before it got written off he got it out a scrapped royal blue G40 which was in the scrap yard for some unknown reason . then i got it. paul did most of the work and mods on mine, but no idea on the cars original number
