G40 drive shaft/ cv boot problem
«

I went to pick up my sis from work today and when i started the car and went to reverse out of the parking space i heard a big clunk and wollop from underneath the car. so i went out to have a look and the passengers side drive shaft has come loose with the cv boot from the gearbox and is just hanging there still attched to the passengers side wheel.
Anybody know why this has happened? is it simply the cv boot wearing out or has something bad happened?

it's a bit hard to say what's happened there, you'll have to get it jacked up and inspect what has happened. Possibly the cv joint has failed or the bolts holding the shaft to the gearbox have come out.

engine mount?
Had something similar on an escort i once stupidly owned. There was a mount missing so i was told and the driveshaft popped out same place as yours.
