With a sense of regret I'm advertising my 1975 Golf swallowtail....so with a bit of sobriety it may get pulled!
Anyway here goes
1975 Vw Golf "N" 3dr RHD tintop
I'm the 3rd owner from new, showing around 24,000 miles!!
First owner was an old lady from Northern Ireland ( hence the plate)
The shell and the whole interior is as it left the factory..including houndstooth low backs and rubber mats!! No stereo no extra gauges apart from boost gauge ( I'll get to that bit later
So here is what's changed
ENGINE
Polo G40 supercharged engine with ported and polished head
Supercharger recently rebuilt by OCD and still needs running in ( oil seal went)
Tooth belt kit with 65mm pulley
Chipped to suit ( really needs another mapping in)
Stainless four branch onto stainless power flow system
Front mount intercooler
K and N
Boost return delete
Relocated battery
Uprated clutch
Short shift ( can be a bit if a pain into second)
Smokes a little on start up, but could be due to oil still in intercooler from blown seal in the charger.
ATV code gearbox with new bushes
Welded polo mounts not chopped chassis legs!!
BRAKES
256 Audi calipers
Brembo 256 discs
FULL braided hoses throughout (no hard lines at all!)
Powder coated rear hubs
SUSPENSION
FK stainless Konigsports
Powder coated rear beam ,poly bushed
New ball joints etc
WHEELS
Ronal Aero 16s
Falken tyres 195/40/16s
INTERIOR
is as factory apart from basket cup holder and "boost gauge in a can"
SHELL/BODYWORK
One of the cleanest shells I've seen in a long time NO rot, never been welded..original underseal underneath and under arches with slight surface rust here and there!
Couple of notable dints including one in he front panel and one in the lower rear quarter
It's the paint that let's it down really ..not crap by any standards but to be excellent condition it needs doing
As stated it was in September 2013 issue of PVW so better shots than mine can be seen in there!
Major reason for sale is I need something cheaper as I've got to rebuild my garage for our other car

PRICE ...mmmm this is the contentious point and will get a lot of either flaming or sniggers
But...it's a VERY clean, 1975 swallowtail RHD 3DR tintop
So £10K or offers with reason as is ( comes with a few spares like original petrol tank, door handles few G40 spares)
Or £9.5K bring your own wheels

Another 3dr S1 non sunroof plus cash
S2 GTI tintop in white or red ( must be fairly standard apart from wheels and suspension)
S1 GTI IN red or silver ( white would be pref but we didn't get them!)
Or SWAP for similar condition Rallye ( long shot I know, and against why I'm selling)
