Best turbo & G60 setup
« on: November 19, 2014, 12:40:55 pm »

Cheers guys,

I'm building 2 setups : one will be turbo nd other G60. I want to see difference btw this 2 setups.
know already that some G60 had around 220 HP nd K04 can provide app 200 HP with nice speeding poss.

now my question is: what would be best option for turbo setup nd what would be best option for G60 setup

my plans are:
1. turbo setup:
- FPR 7 bar
- injectors: Siemens deka 660 cc
- K04-015
- FMIC
- cam 260/264 or 264/264
QUESTION: : do you hv any otker option for can which could run better than a/m
Additionaly:
regarding head: as i hv standard bottom 1272 ccm should I do port & polish with large valve to gain some power or should I leave everything as it is ?

2. G60 option
- FPR 7 bar
- injectors: Siemens deka 660 cc
- G60 RS
- FMIC
- cam 252/276 or 252/282
QUESTION: : should I do port & polish with large valve or also leave as it is?

From my point of wiew G option should hv port & polish head with larger valve as G is blowing all the time nd in turbo version my opinion is to leave smaller holes maybe with biger valves (IMHO)

I would like to hear fm firs hand which version is better with + & - in both versions

Tks in advance
Damjan

Why are you using 7 bar fuel pressure with 660cc/min injectors? That's enough fuel for about 500bhp! Injector resolution must be a challenge around idle?

K03-005 seems to be okay for 190-195bhp, K03-029 is good for 200bhp ish, K03-073 a bit more - maybe 210bhp, and K04-015 a touch more still. I can't comment on the K04, but the others worked well with a 268° cam in my experience.

Hi Andy

I hv ViPec Standalone management who is controling all this
Why 660 cc with FPR 7 bar ? to get fine mist. Ofcourse pressure is not 7 bar (can be reached) but 4 Bar nd injectors are working on 40%
everything is verry well balanced

What about head porting ?

Would it be better to put Rothe manifold or tubular manifold with smaller diameter to get faster spool ?

Huge injector for these power levels, reduce injector size and gain increased resolution and fueling control. Be more efficient!

Rothe manifold will be ample for these power levels too.

BV Head (1272cc) will give similar peak figures to 1341cc stock head, all other variables being equal.

Combination of the two ~5% increase in peak figures.
