seems to be an intermittent issue.

needle flicks up and down and earlier dropped to zero and stayed there even as i was driving along and then returned to normal. clocks screwed or is it likely to be signal related?

This happened to me not so long ago. Everything I could find online said it was the dizzy that was the issue.
But for me it turned out to be the coil, changed it for one out of a 1.4 6n and it works fine.
