Most people run 65mm pulleys, has many ran a 60mm pulley?

Is there much more gains to be had? Im not planning on doing this just wondering.

its not recommended, i remember mr mirfin telling me the bearings are rated at certain speeds, and the 60mm pulley rotates the bearings faster than what they are rated at redline or something

even the uprated bearings
plus when i ripped my charger apart for the second time the grease from the wiggly eye bearing or whatever its called had displaced and was dry. im assuming this is because i over revved it (my redline is 9.5k for some stupid raison)

I've had toothed belts for around 10 years and put about 8-10k on in that time with no issues. I know Jabbasport don't particularly liked toothed belts and suspect they won't honour a warranty if you have them fitted. That's the only negative comment I've ever personally heard about them.

I've also heard pulley size shouldn't be lower than 65mm for reasons already stated.

Soooo

Was singing Barteks praises....

Started the polo today after finally putting it all back together and after a horrible and baffling rattle it looks like the alternator pulleys guide is splitting away from the pulley, causing it to vibrate.

Not sure if its the pulley thats loose also but I shall be able to report that back next week

:(

Sounds like the same kit I got.
My alternator pulley was just fouling off the ARB bracket.
A quick seeing to with a grinder soon gave me enough clearance.

This is actually the cause, cheers to alerting me to it.
