Few new bits

Just sorted a few new bits to the site

Main ones with interest to you guys will be the rebuild sets

All from Elring so top quality, they're not commonly ordered so may take a couple of days to get in stock as my engineers had a bit of hassle getting the bottom end set.

Cool - the bottom end ones are hard to come by.

Just for info Matt,  vw use different head bolts for g40 and g60s.  They g40s are higher tensile 12.9 - normal are 8.8 as per cl/gt ones and are 2mm longer. So I'd assume that these are the 8.8 ones. (as vw charge £7-8quid a bolt for g40 spec ones)

Yeah, supplier said it was! We should be able to keep getting them, just making folk aware it might be a few days at least

Ah, ok, I know they've different part numbers but they've come boxed up for VW engines, 1.0-2.0. It doesn't say 8v or 16v but 16v are a lot longer.

They were ordered for a G40 from a G40 reg & engine code so these are G40 bolts. I'll do some checking to make sure they fit a G60 too

Just to add on to the gasket sets I'm know keeping bearing sets too....only thing I'm struggling on at the minute is con rod bearings but we're looking in to it.

Normally keep standard sizes but if you need oversize then just give me a shout

Elring 819.817 are standard Polo ones. They don't do a proper G40 headbolt alternative that I'm aware of.

I had to get g40 specific ones from VW as nowhere else did them

The BGA BK4398 have an extra 2mm on them not sure about the tensile strength though

Elring seemed happy they'd do the job but I'm doing a double check on it!

Might have to see what I can do about getting them Genuine instead if they come back with something different.

Yep, they've changed their minds now. Will change the listing as they are G60 only.....

But.....I can get Polo G40 specific matched to part number so will be getting some in stock ASAP
