Oil Pressure switch locations

Im playing around with my oil temp sensor for the gauge, im moving from the sump to the head, not a fan of it being so low and temps rarely get above 50 degrees on normal driving. Without buying more adapters etc can i get away with this?
Or do they have to be in these locations?

Depends what you want to measure, sump temp will be hotter than gallery (the head) but to get a good temperature reading you need flow over the sensor, which is why most people use a t-piece off the charger feed, or stick it in the sump.

I thought head temps would be higher than sump. On a cold morning like leaving to go santa pod it took about 25 mins for the oil to get to 40 degrees.
I cant use a t-piece on the charger as im running a standalone again.
I was looking at getting a standard sandwich plate, oil thermostat and a temp gauge adaptor. Will have flow going over it but its expensive.
Can i run them oil switch's from one hole like the 1st picture?
